HP Designjet Z6200 Firmware Update 2013
When loading a NEW HP Designjet Z6200 ink you maybe asked to update your firmware. HP for the EMEA region are now encouraging users to take the benefit of a number of system improvements for their Z6200 wide-format printers.

Install instructions
Once you have downloaded the firmware file, go to the Embedded Web Server (type the IP address of the printer from any Web browser as Internet Explorer) and click on the Setup tab
Select the Firmware upgrade
Click on browse button to point to the newer firmware file (.fmw)
Click on the update button and follow the instructions
When prompted in the printer Front Panel, select the region where the printer is located
Firmware release 02.00.1 will NOT allow downgrading to 01.00.9.5 or previous releases.
Pantone Plus Series
The new PANTONE PLUS SERIES entails changes in the colour set definition. Pantone has replaced the previous PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM by the newer PANTONE PLUS SERIES, which extends the colour capabilities to match the current needs of the design and graphic market. This Z6200 firmware release updates the Pantone library to the PANTONE PLUS SERIES to fully support its functionality.
New cartridge family names HP 771A/HP 771B/HP 771C
The new HP 771A / HP 771B /HP 771C regionalized ink cartridges will help to protect you from HP ink cartridges sourced through non-official distribution channels, from which HP cannot control the transportation and storage conditions. This will ensure quality and decrease the chances of being counterfeit. The new supply families are associated with the three main regions in the world:
North & Latin America: HP 771A supplies
Asia Pacific & Japan: HP 771B supplies
Europe, Middle East & Africa: HP 771C supplies
