HP W3Z72A DesignJet Z9+ 44-in PostScript Printer
The HP Designjet Z9+ 44in Printer is part of a series available in three variants. This includes the standard 44-inch single roll model. There is also a dual roll version with integrated V-trimmer and a compact 24-inch A1 model.
Media Handling
Capable of printing High-Quality High-definition Photographic & Fine Art prints. A wide-range of medias from photo paper, canvas, self-adhesive, banner, bond and coated or backlit medias. Weight’s from just 80 but right up to 500 g/m²
A 2″ roll feed spindle is standard with optional 3″ adapter. The 3″ option allows for an increased choice of branded medias from various suppliers. Brands include Hahnemühle, Canson, Innova and Xativa, with many ICC profiles ready to go. HP also offer tried, tested and certified OEM branded products.
Sheets can be front fed from the top of the printer. However, for thicker boards, the rear platen gives a straight paper path for direct to board printing. This allows the above average 500gsm capability.
In addition to the media feed options, you can purchase an easy to fit take-up-reel. This is for roll to roll printing for post print finishing.
Applications
With a diverse range of applications, this versatile printer can be used for short term outdoor print applications. These include fade and water resistant prints when using the correct medias.
A 9 colour ink system does away with the need for light coloured inks. This is due to the Designjet Z9+ unique HP Pixel Control and HP Printheads with dual drop technology. The Z9+ offers chromatic colours to expand the colour gamut. It includes RGB, red, blue, and green inks. Grey ink is also included, unlike in the Z6. In addition, you can add an innovative clear ink with the Gloss Enhancer kit for gloss medias.
