All you need to know about the UltiMaker S-Series PC Black 750g Filament (1641)

ULTIMAKER FILAMENT MAIN BANNER

UltiMaker S-Series PC Black 750g Filament (1641): PC can be used for various engineering applications. It is one of the toughest print materials, making it a perfect choice for printing strong objects. PC has a high mechanical strength, good UV stability, and high thermal resistance. It retains its form at temperatures up to 110 °C. In addition, PC has a good dimensional stability and has flame-retardant characteristics. These properties make it suitable for lighting, molds, engineering parts, tools, functional prototyping, and short-run manufacturing.

ULTIMAKER PC PROPERTIES

KEY FEATURES:

  • High toughness (especially for the non-transparent filament options)
  • Temperature resistance
  • Flame retardant characteristics
  • Dimensionally stable
  • Strong interlayer bonding (especially when using the front enclosure add-on)/li>
  • Good bed adhesion (especially when using adhesion sheets)
  • Allows printing of translucent parts with the transparent filament option
  • Engineered to be printed at moderate temperatures compared to other PC filaments
  • Minimised warping
  • Good tensile strength (59.7 MPa at break)
  • High impact strength (Charpy 3.41 J/m)
  • High melting temperature (Mass flow rate at 300 °C: 23 – 26 g/10 min)
  • Glass transition at 112 – 113 ºC<.li>
