Neschen Solvoprint Performance Wallpaper Smooth 190g/m²: Digital printable non woven wallpaper (fleece) with “Art-Paper” like surface that allows you maximum creative freedom with the minimum amount of effort.  Easy to apply and remove this is a fantastic choice for customised photorealistic wall décor applications from use in private homes to large scale commercial projects

With PVC and solvent-free production Neschen "GREEN WALL" products are an eco friendly choice. The smooth wallpaper back allows for an easy installation. Instead of “pasting the paper”, the wallpaper is designed for "pasting the wall" papering, allowing spaces to be transformed quickly and with minimum effort. The no-shrink wallpapers also allow for perfect joints.

An excellent choice for use in public areas, as after printing, they are just as wash- and abrasion-resistant as vinyl wallpapers.  With a number of textured surfaces available in the range (Smooth, Stucco, Classic, Antique & Linen) there is a suitable surface for any interior design.

Please refer to the 'Other available sizes/textures' tab for more details of the complete range.

WALL SURFACE & WALL SURFACE PREPARATION:

  • According to the technical guidelines for wallpapering and pasting work the surface to be covered must be dry, sound, uniformly absorbent, clean and smooth.
  • Remove old wallpaper and any unsound coatings completely. Close any holes or irregularities with plaster-based filler, such as Metylan GI smoothing and filling compound for indoors, and smooth the surface. In order to make absorbency consistent and reinforce old plaster surfaces or new plasterboard surfaces, prime the surface with water-based plaster sealer such as Metylan wallpapering primer for old plaster and concrete. Prime new gypsum plaster and firm, highly absorbent surfaces with diluted wallpaper paste. If the surface is smooth but not absorbent, you can make the surface compatible with wallpaper by applying a nonwoven liner with Metylan Ovalit V special-purpose wallcovering paste.

PASTE & HANGING:

  • For paperhanging Neschen recommend using solvent-free non-woven glue, like Metylan NP Power Granulat plus or Metylan secura.
  • For paperhanging on the wall: Apply the wallpaper paste evenly in a sufficient amount to the base surface and lay the cut lengths of wallpaper dry into the bed of adhesive. Please read the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions for use.
  • Using a pasting machine: Paste solvoprint performance wallpaper using a pasting machine, fold it and hang it immediately without allowing for a soaking time. Use non-woven adhesives in the way of manufacturer recommendations. Please read the manufacturer’s wallpaper glue instructions.
  • Hang NESCHEN performance wallpaper perpendicular, with the lengths butt jointed to each other. Before start paperhanging on the wall is to ensure, that the printed surface/ink are cured and dried. Basically, a vertical paperhanging on the wall "away from light" is recommended. For prints with clean cut edges, the edge of one strip is butted up against the edge of the adjoining strip. Please note, after printing of the length of wallpaper, approx. 0,3% warping would be expected.
  • For overlapping printed wallpaper strips, cut off the white edges up to the pattern when the wallpaper is dry. Then align the stripes on the wall in the area where they overlap and press down with a rubber roller or a soft brush, to remove any air bubbles. On each drop, the final sweep with the rubber roller should be applied horizontally in the direction of the free edge (working direction). If a double seam cut is necessary, it will be possible to use the special-purpose knife. For a clean seam, cut through the two layers of overlapping wallpaper in one cut, remove the wallpaper adhesive residues and finish off with a seam roller. Press excess wallpaper on ceilings, skirting boards, windows etc. into the corners with a plastic trowel and trim with a Stanley knife. Ensure the wall covering does not overlap. Immediately remove any traces of adhesive on the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
  • NESCHEN performance wallpaper are extremely hard-wearing. For heavily used environments such as catering establishments, swimming pools or event venues, we recommend coating the wallpaper after hanging with a high-quality clear varnish (e.g. Capaplex by Caparol) to protect the print.

NOTE:

  • Please don't use dispersion adhesive, because a negative influence for the printed surface is to be expected! It is recommended to use of protective gloves (soft cotton) when wallpapering, to protect the high-density inks. Prevent any emerging paste from getting onto the front or else stains and differences in gloss may occur. If paste does get onto the front of the paper, remove it immediately with a clean cloth and clean water.
  • A golden rule when wallpapering is to avoid heating the room too much and prevent draughts during the drying process or else seams may open. This information only consists of general recommendations. Working conditions and wall surface conditions are beyond our influence so no claims can be based on the information.
