The HP DesignJet Z9+ 24-inch Photo Printer is part of the Z9+ series. It is the compact single-roll model with a 24″ print width. The series also includes two 44″ models, with one offering dual rolls and a built-in V-trimmer.

The HP Z9 printer is designed for professional photo and fine art printing. It delivers high-quality output faster, and with fewer inks.
Media Handling
This HP Z printer supports a wide range of media types. It can print on photo paper, canvas, adhesive media, banners, bond paper, coated stock, and backlit films. Media weights range from 80 g/m² up to 500 g/m².
Supplied with a 2″ roll feed spindle. An optional 3″ adapter expands compatibility with leading media brands like Hahnemühle, Canson, Innova, and Xativa. ICC profiles are available for many of these. HP also offers certified OEM media options.
Sheets can be loaded from the front, and for thicker boards, the rear platen provides a straight paper path, allowing for rigid stock. This allows direct-to-board printing up to 500 gsm.

The HP DesignJet Z9 is versatile. It can produce professional photo prints, fine art, or short-term outdoor applications. With the right media, prints are fade-resistant and water-resistant.
Print Quality & Ink System
The HP Z9 printer uses a 9-colour ink system with HP Pixel Control. This eliminates the need for light-colored inks. Dual-drop technology in the HP Printheads improves detail and smoothness.
It offers a wider color gamut with chromatic colors and RGB inks. A dedicated gray ink improves tonal range, unlike the Z6 series. Users can also add a Gloss Enhancer kit for superior gloss finishes.

The Z9+ can handle complex files thanks to its powerful processing architecture and the Adobe PDF Print Engine.
Security is built-in with HP Wolf Security. Features include:
