Most wide-format and plan printers will accept plan copier paper as long as the media width is supported by your machine. Always check your printer’s core size and maximum roll or sheet width before purchasing to ensure compatibility with plan and technical print workflows. As these rolls tend to be longer, with some up to 200m long, the diameter of rolls taken by your machine also needs to be checked.

Standard printer paper is usually sized for A4 or A3 print jobs and everyday documents. Plan printer paper is larger, usually supplied in rolls or sheets designed for plan and CAD output, offering brighter whites, higher opacity, and a smoother surface for technical line accuracy.

Yes — high-quality plan copier paper can be used for monochrome and colour technical outputs. While it’s optimised for crisp line work and detail, many plan media stocks handle colour shading and graphics reliably when used with compatible printers and correct media profiles.

Roll formats are ideal for continuous or long plan output, reducing waste. Sheet formats are good for on-demand single prints when a different size is required to the loaded roll. Heavier weights offer more durability for site use and reduced show-through for detailed or presentation-level plan work.
